Care Guide.
Quilts
All our quilts and throws are pre-washed, which results in their unique texture and softness
You can machine wash your quilt in cold water with mild soap. Do not use bleach as it might affect the color and fibers.
For drying your quilts, we recommend tumble drying on the low or medium setting. Remove promptly from the dryer.
Storing your quilt
Store your quilt in a breathable natural bag.
We recommend refolding your quilt every now and again if you will be storing it for a long period of time.
Quilted Pillow Shams
Our pillow shams are pre-shrunk and pre-washed.
If laundering is needed, machine wash in cold water and tumble dry on the Low setting.
Linen napkins
Machine wash in cold water. Treat any stains with a spot cleaner and wash according to instructions. Tumble dry on a low setting or line dry and press with an iron with a steam setting.

The tradition of quilting.
There is a long history of quilting and it’s a tradition that is revered all over the world. Layers of fabric sewn together for comfort and then for beauty too. Our fascination with quilts started when our Nana crotcheted afghans for our family as special gifts. Nana made women’s work into something cherished and kept us warm on chilly nights. Ways to store your linens.
It’s important to care for your quilts to help keep them for generations to come. Mathilde quilts are machine washable and they can be thrown in the dryer, too. You can wash your quilts as needed and store them in a cotton bag or in breathable materials. Unfold your quilts often so that it breathes and creases are inverted.
